Beauty Haul for Cold, Wintry Days | Zoella, Tanya Burr & Lush Products!

First weekend of being back in the UK and already I'm out shopping. Well, these beauties won't go to waste anyway.

I'll be working a lot more than usual this Autumn/Winter, so when I come home, I feel drained and my feet will ache so much from standing for such long hours. By the end of it all, I just want to collapse in bed. And that really isn't the best thing to do....... why? I wake up the next morning feeling worse. My bones feel heavy as though I've been carrying my old Secondary School bag all day long. They were the days when it was torturous on the back!!

And what's the best thing for achy bones? A glorious warm bath tub of smelly-ishous bubbles, steam and oils.

Zoella Soak Opera & Tanya Burr 'Picnic in the Park' Lipgloss

Zoella Soak Opera - This bath soak/shower cream is perfect for frequent uses. Judging by how much I put in the tub (which was only 2-3 capfuls) it will indeed last a long time. The wonderful floral scent helps to calm the senses.

And on top of that, it contains Vitamin E, extracts of Shea Butter and Aloe, so my skin is very well taken care of... Smooth and healthy.

Tanya Burr 'Picnic in the Park' Lipgloss - There were many variety of colours, from glittery ones to a shiny polished look. I decided on the 'Picnic in the Park' as it suited my skin tone (cool ivory according to No. 7 Match Made Service). And this gloss is perfect for assisting that perfect, natural day-time look.

Lush | Honey Bee & Avobath Bath Ballistics

Honey Bee Bath Ballistic - In Ireland I purchased the Honey Bee. It was deserved a second try I thought, heehee. For a cold, wintery day it's the ideal time to use it. For someone like me, with sensitive skin and who suffers from acne and allergy rashes, this is light on the skin. For me there were no skin irritations and my body felt moisturised and soft after bathing. Not only did I feel super silky but the bathwater also.

The honey ingredient is used as an antiseptic and moisturiser. For the refreshing and uplifting scent, Sweet Wild Orange Oil is used (I love saying that... sweet wild orange). Fair Trade Organic Aloe Gel aids in soothing and softening the skin. And I came across this ingredient, Rhassoul Mud. Pffff, never heard of it. Its use is for cleansing and softening also.

Avobath Bath Ballistic - I'd advise you to use this in the morning, to help you face the day: its bergamot oils and lemongrass will pick you up while also tackling dryness with olive oil and avocado. It contains lustre, which gives a shimmering green effect to the water, but will (thankfully) leave your skin shimmer-free and feel dazzled and moist. The Olive Oil and avocado will tackle dehydration, making this an excellent choice for dry skin sufferers.

I am yet to experience the 'So White' & 'Big Blue' bath ballistics. 'So White' smells like sweet, green apples and is the colour of snow and 'Big Blue' in made up of sea salts and seaweed. Looking forward to dipping in with them. Oh and to also reading the Lush magazine.

I also ordered Zoellas Fizz Bar from Superdrug. It is waiting in the store for me, so that item too will be added to the bath collection I own.

Please let me know whether or not you'd like me to write more posts similar to this one. And if you too have experienced any beauty products that were highly valued in your opinion, please let me know in the comments below.

Thanks for reading,

30 Day Snap #12 | My own Spa day with old classics

Hiya,

Yesterday was a day of eugh and hmmm, and 'God I'm bored!'

So with not knowing what to do, I decided to have a spa day.
That meant, reading out in the sunshine, singing with my guitar, watching old movies - 'Breakfast at Tiffanys' and 'Sabrina', having a relaxing bath with candles and tea. Then I had the lovely pleasure of painting my nails & applying a face mask.

This little pip-sqweek keeps taking my only sheep from me (the one on the left.) I being my very generous self, allow her to take him to bed, in the hope that she thinks that I'm giving her cuddles throughout the night.

Even with the day being so relaxing, I still got lost in thought. Sometimes this annoys me because I get irritated in my own mind. I just feel so guilty knowing that there's more productive things to be doing, rather than relaxing. But I just procrastinate and procrastinate. The best distraction is to talk to people that you know will distract you from your worries and anxieties.
But when there's no one to talk to, what should I do? What is the best distraction for any of you, that understand how I feel?

Thanks for reading giggle-piggles,

30 Day Snap #9 | Jogging in the Woodlands

I was feeling so terribly off yesterday. I felt as though procrastinating was boring. I felt as though I wanted to take out some of my stress, anxiety, whatever... the emotions that were wanting to burst out from me, with jogging. Even with feeling so drained, I just wanted to get out of the house and feel better. I knew that I would disappoint myself if I allowed myself to feel unhappy.

I made myself get all geared up for a jog. I went out to the nearby woods and had 'Coldplays' new album blasting in my ears. Just when I knew I was alone I ran like a wild lunatic through the little path ways, as though I was running away from someone. There were times when I would glance behind me to see whether I was being followed... scary, I know!

I felt so exhilarated out there. The traffic could still be heard, but I eliminated it's horrific noises with music and the sound of my own heart thumping. Regretfully, I could have chosen a better day to go jogging. There was some rays of sunlight to be seen, but it was such a stuffy, claustrophobic day, making it harder to breath when racing through the trees.

I used to at one time in my life take my anger out on my brother, yes I was a terrible sister, you don't know how I regret it now. But now he's bigger than me, so he's usually the one bugging me. Fair enough. I had such anger management issues a few years back and having jogging now in my life really has made such a difference in my life. The pain I feel from jogging, with breathing, is something I can control. I like to know I can control pain. Having it as well, is just a way of letting go. It's a great stress relief!

How do you like to let go of your emotions... nothing so dirty now! But when you feel as though you need to unwind yourself, what does it for you?

Lots of luvin',

30 Day Snap #6 | Chilling out in the garden

I woke up with having swollen glands, Yay!
It was such a beautiful day with having the heat at 24 degrees.
So I decided after a bath and face mask, to lie out in the sunshine, with my medicine, my diary, travelling journal, Barry M nail polish.
I used to detest the planes going by everyday, making me homesick, but hey just 17 day till I'm flying back to Ireland.

I hung out the washing and laid down on a mat, just playing my guitar. I kept checking my watch to be sure I was on time for work. Ooh, and I was wearing my River Island shorts cos I've lost the lovely tan. Sad times, sad times!

My uncles garden is lovely to look at. He keeps it maintained very well. I love seeing the roses out and the red petals laid across the gravel. I love the two colours together. He grows his own herbs at the back. And he hopes one day to have his own chickens, Heehee, randomly enough.

Anyway, even though my face was as large as a bull, I got to have a relaxing day out in the sunshine, enjoying the nature around me. We were so blessed to have it.

I hope you too are enjoying the weather. Anything nice you've been up to?

Lush products, London trip | Little update on life

So everyone, it's been a while since I actually blogged something that wasn't 'Thankful Thursday'. All I can say is that I have been extremely lazy last week. Sure there was college and work but any time I was free I was either napping or catching up on my tv shows... anyone that watches 'Baby Daddy' let me know whether you're team Danny or Ben. Every episode just gets better and better, so I advise ye people who want a laugh to watch it.

This post is just a little update over the last week. Even though there was sleep deprivation I still had lots of fun. I got to explore a little more around London. I attended this little music, prayer service in London. Young adults from all around the world came to share their prayers through their own languages. The music was beautiful. I can still hear that wonderful cello... an instrument I most desire to learn.

I loved seeing Westminster Cathedral for the first time.
The architecture of the building was just so magnificent. Very grand compared to my little church back home in dear old Ireland, Haa! But seeing the amount of work that was put in was breathtaking.

Today after bringing my little cousin to a little Easter craft activity class and Irish dancing lessons (imagine when I am a Mum... Pheww) I then had a little surprise trip to St. Albans.
I bought a few little essentials in Boots, sun lotion, after sun moisturiser and so on... getting my last minute shopping done for my holiday, then for the first time, I entered Lush. I've heard far too many great comments about this place from bath lovers. And I am a bath lover.
Even before I saw the shop I could just smell the deliciousness of the place... "Where is that amazing smell coming from?"

I didn't want to leave the place, as I was having so much fun getting over-whelmed by the so many different smells there was. I made sure what I bought would be worth it, so I circled the shop like 4 times. In the end I decided on two items. Bath bombs. And yes I did imagine my tub exploding as I threw it in! Such a day dreamer!

Firstly I decided on getting the 'Blackberry Bath Bomb'. It was too delicious to leave behind. I mean come on! Who doesn't wasn't to smell like Ribena coming out from the bath tub! It's every girls dream!

And here I only used half of it. Smelling like a blackberry, Oh Yeah!

And secondly I bought this beauty. The 'Tisty Tosty'. The lady in the shop threw it into a basin of water and there I was  'Ooooing' while watching it sizzle like a rasher on a pan (not such a great comparison... smelling of grease can be a little different than smelling like a rose.) But the rose buds were just left floating as though it were a pretty pond... "I'M GETTING IT!"

Then just to finish the day off, me and my aunt went to this lovely cafe. The Merchant, in St. Albans. I had a latte while my aunt taunted me with her mocha. I mean look how amazing it looked with it's overloaded cream and topped off chocolate powder.

This is what keeps me happy. Just having a day with exploring around. Not planning the day out, just going with the flow. The only thing that is missing is having my bestie Edel. She would make the experience over here in London a little more fun. Filling it with memories.

Are any of you addicted to Lush? If so, please let me know what your favourite products are, or if you've heard any good reviews that too is welcome. I really want to test out every single one of them.

Thanks so much for reading lads & lassies,
