Festive Feelings :: 12 :: Winter Sales & My Christmas Day!

Merry Christmas Everyone! I hope everyone has had a splendid day! And is continuing to do so.

One of my favourite things about Christmas is the sales... Haaaaa! So tomorrow it begins. I try to not buy much until after Christmas Day. Tomorrow though I'm more excited for the cinema, rather than the shopping, heehee.

Today started off very sweetly. I had such a good sleep, waking up at 9:30am to some glorious sunshine and a blue, clear sky and getting half dressed for mass. After mass, we opened our pressies, then some breakfast with some festive music. I got a new flavour of tea, a book and an amusing mustache stick from my lovely friend Peachy. Pressies like these always delight me, as it makes me happy knowing that the giver knows me so well. My Mum gave some cute outfits. I apologise for not taking any pictures as they are all in the wardrobe. She and dad got me a big Mac selection of makup and brushes. I was surprised, let me tell ya! My parents and I left our brother behind to go into town to have a drink in a pub. Surprisingly enough we found one that was still opened.

In the evening, after our dinner, which was steak, we all spoke to my grandparents, aunts and cousin in Scotland, on Skype. We all had a great laugh, telling each other about our gifts. And telling funny stories about our family members.

There was movies on all day, but I strangely enough didn't watch any. It came to the evening, and so it was time to lie out on the couch with my blanket and get started. Along with the dessert; sherry triffle, vienetta and tonnes of chocolate there was Coronation Street, Miranda and of course the exciting Downton Abbey Special. My dad laughed at me when I kept tearing up. It was perhaps my favourite part of the day. I wish that I knew some of the characters.

So the following pictures were all taken on my phone, so not so great quality, but I did promise a picture of my dress from Topshop.

Let me know how your day went. Did you have your family special moments?
Was the food as good as you thought it would be? Mmmm fooood, heehee. I myself am now gonna get some cocoa pops and watch my brother xmas pressie from moi, 'Guardians of the Galaxy', honestly it's a gift to me as well.

Thanks for keeping up with this little series of blogmas. Hope you enjoyed!

30 Day Snap #12 | My own Spa day with old classics

Hiya,

Yesterday was a day of eugh and hmmm, and 'God I'm bored!'

So with not knowing what to do, I decided to have a spa day.
That meant, reading out in the sunshine, singing with my guitar, watching old movies - 'Breakfast at Tiffanys' and 'Sabrina', having a relaxing bath with candles and tea. Then I had the lovely pleasure of painting my nails & applying a face mask.

This little pip-sqweek keeps taking my only sheep from me (the one on the left.) I being my very generous self, allow her to take him to bed, in the hope that she thinks that I'm giving her cuddles throughout the night.

Even with the day being so relaxing, I still got lost in thought. Sometimes this annoys me because I get irritated in my own mind. I just feel so guilty knowing that there's more productive things to be doing, rather than relaxing. But I just procrastinate and procrastinate. The best distraction is to talk to people that you know will distract you from your worries and anxieties.
But when there's no one to talk to, what should I do? What is the best distraction for any of you, that understand how I feel?

Thanks for reading giggle-piggles,

30 Day Snap #2 | A relaxing morning with tea & a face mask

Day 2 June 2014

I woke up later than expected, just before 12... what is wrong with me? I know! Well it was after all my last sleep-in before heading back to my final term of college.

I woke up to have the house to myself, just the way I like it. I'm like Kevin from Home Alone :)

So I decided that instead of a productive Monday, I'd have a REAL lazy day.

So the kettle was on, the teapot, teacup and strainer were all set aside while I rubbed on a Superdrug face mask. They're not actually too bad. I'm sorta stuck with these packets as my tea tree mask container is almost empty. Only 3 weeks remaining here, so there's no point in buying another tub.

I love when I'm alone in the house as I can sit outside with my tea and porridge (as I did) and just flick through my twitter feed. We have very high trees, so there's no chance in anyone looking down at me with my fruit-mask-covered face. I love having privacy. I hate it when you can hear the neighbors and know they can hear you too. I shouldn't care, but I'm new to all this living in a city.

My friend told me she was surprised I came from a countryside, farming area. That I appear to be the city-ish type. I don't mind either, but when I have my own place in Canterbury, things will be different. I'll have my own rules with getting up in the morning and dancing to cheesy songs on the radio, having my own curfew and deciding what I can do in my spare time. Even having friends over. Seriously it's not easy living with relatives that aren't your parents. I'm blessed to have the type of parents that want you to have fun with life, get pissed, whatever. Knowing that I have had such independence from them has allowed me to remain the little nun I am today, Haa!

On a happy note, just know I feel better with my peaceful time by myself and the tea and face mask did really help. It's always good to get time to yourself, if you don't, well you'll go stir crazy with the people around you and take it out on them.

Thanks for reading lovies,
